K9 Citizens Club, founded in 2017 by Marcus Taylor, emerged from a profound desire to assist people in nurturing well-behaved dogs within a civilian environment. Marcus's career, which began in 2005, has been dedicated to mastering the art of dog training, with a focus on behavior modification, obedience, puppy training, and more. His extensive experience ensures that each dog receives tailored and personalized dog training to become a well-mannered and cherished family pet.

Marcus Taylor, a native Texan, possesses a profound affinity for both animals and people, which has been a cornerstone of his professional journey. His passion for working with dogs started during his childhood and was further cultivated when he embarked on his career with dual-purpose dogs at the Department of Energy in 2005. During this period, Marcus achieved certification and excelled in the United States Police Canine Association, securing top placements both regionally and nationally with two different dogs. This achievement required rigorous daily training and the ongoing development of advanced skills in bomb detection, agility, obedience, tracking, and protection work alongside his canine partners.
Marcus subsequently utilized his expertise to train private clients in his hometown and the surrounding areas of Texas. He extended his skills in collaboration with various agencies across Texas and Louisiana, participating in both private and public events. His unwavering commitment to the field led him to support the military overseas, where he worked with explosive detection dogs in Afghanistan from 2015 to 2017. His deep-seated passion for training and handling dogs inspired the establishment of the K9 Citizens Club in the summer of 2017 in Louisiana. Recognizing the need for enhanced and improved dog training practices and owner education, Marcus has dedicated himself to employing his passion and experience to best serve the canine community.
Marcus currently provides professional dog training services in New Braunfels and surrounding areas, helping to resolve dog-related issues, improving obedience and communication, and enhancing stronger bonds between dogs and their owners.
Marcus Taylor is also a Professional Member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) and serves as a Canine Good Citizens Evaluator for the American Kennel Club (AKC).
